The 8th International Eurasia Film Festival has kicked off in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. Famous Kazakhstan, Russian and American actors were among the guests of the Eurasia Film Festival red carpet ceremony that was held next to the Republic Palace in Almaty. Yermek Amanshayev, Kazakhfilm Film Studios president and chairman of the festival, declared the festival open and added that this event was an important part of the city's cultural life. He thanked everyone, who contributed to development of Kazakhstan's film industry and made it possible to hold the International Film Festival every year. American actor Dennis Haysbert and Kazakhstan actress Aruzhan Dzhazilbekova presented Kazakhatan's famous filmmaker Assanaly Ashimov with the Legend of Kazakhstan Cinema award and congratulated him on his 75 anniversary. Ashimov said that this award would have a special place in his heart. The film Virtual Love directed by Amir Karakulov opened the festival. Bibigul Suyunshalina is starring in the movie. Some guests didn’t like the movie and left the cinema theater one by one.
